Vegan Chocolate Donut with Matcha Glaze

These baked chocolate donuts are soft, pillowy, and a match made in heaven. They only require a few ingredients and even non-matcha lovers will love these!

Ingredients
  

Chocolate Donuts

  • 1 Cup Spelt Flour
  • ¼ Cup Coconut Sugar
  • ¼ Cup Cocoa Powder
  • ¼ Cup Almond Milk
  • ½ Cup Apple Sauce
  • 1 Tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 Tsp Baking Soda

Matcha Glaze

  • ½ Cup Melted White Chocolate
  • ½ Tsp Culinary Matcha

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • In a large bowl combine the flour, coconut sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and baking soda.
  • One the dry ingredients are combined, next add n the almond milk and apple sauce. Mix well.
  • Scoop the batter into a piping bag or a ziploc bag to easily distribute the batter into the donut pan. Fill ¾ of the way up.
  • Place into the oven for 12-15 minutes.
  • In the meantime, melt the white chocolate and stir in the matcha powder.
  • Let the donuts cool completely before dipping them into the glaze.
