This mug cake is for all my matcha lovers. This will for sure satisfy your late-night sweet tooth. It is made with a handful of ingredients and only requires one bowl.
What is your caffeine of choice? Coffee? Matcha?
Unpopular opinion but I am not a coffee gal. The only beverage I drink is water, I know boring. I have been seeing a lot of matcha on my feed recently so I decided to try it out and I am not hooked yet but it is not all that bad. It may be my go-to drink in the morning.
Enough rambling about my choice of caffeine. This white chocolate matcha mug cake is for all you matcha lovers. It has the perfect amount of matcha that is not too overpowering and of course chocolate for the extra sweetness. If you are sensitive to caffeine I do not recommend making this for a dessert at night but make it as a snack during the day for a mid-day pick me up!
Ingredients Needed To Make This White Chocolate Matcha Mug Cake
- Almond Flour– I decided to use almond flour to keep this recipe paleo and grain-free. I do not recommend substituting it for another flour as almond flour is more moist.
- Banana– You can swap this for apple sauce, pumpkin, or yogurt.
- Maple Syrup– Any sweetner will work.
- Non-dairy Milk– I used almond but you can use any.
- Matcha Powder– Make sure it is ceremonial grade as it is best for baking.
- Baking Powder– This helps the cake rise.
- Chocolate Chips
