These baked chocolate donuts are soft, pillowy, and a match made in heaven. They only require a few ingredients and even non-matcha lovers will love these!
I am not the biggest fan of coffee (I know shocking) but I can drink matcha all day long.
These chocolate donuts pair perfectly with a matcha glaze to balance out the sweetness. The matcha glaze is made with only 2 ingredients and the chocolate donuts are baked and not fried. Baking the donuts makes them super soft and if you are a donut lover these are a healthy version that tastes just as good!
I can guarantee you that even those who do not like matcha that much will love these donuts. Why? Because there’s chocolate involved! This will be your new favorite donut recipe! You do not even need the glaze but I highly recommend it.

- Spelt Flour– You can use any flour of choice such as all-purpose, gluten-free, or wheat. I have not tried oats or almonds as that may yield a different texture.

- Cocoa Powder– Needed to make the chocolate!
- Almond Milk– Any non-dairy milk of your choice will work!
- Apple Sauce– This keeps the donuts moist!
