When summer hits, you will never catch me turning on my oven (maybe for the occasional banana bread). My go-to summer treats have to be no-bake and freezer friendly which is exactly what these protein balls are. I could not decide on a brownie or cookie dough flavor so why not both? Super soft and full of protein, carbs, and healthy fats to keep me energized throughout the day. These are made with only 5 ingredients and are sweetened with dates.
Ingredients Need To Make Brookie Protein Balls
- Almond Flour- To keep this recipe grain-free I used almond flour.
- Mejool Dates- This helps keep the dough sticky and adds natural sweetness.
- Nut butter- Any nut butter will work. This helps to keep the dough sticky and bind together.
- Protein Powder- You will need both chocolate and vanilla protein powder for the flavors.
- Non-dairy Milk- You can use any milk. Depending on how sticky your dough is you may need to add more or less. add the milk in slowly.
How To Make Brookie Protein Balls
- Grab two mixing bowls and add the brownie ingredients to one and the cookie dough ingredients into another.
- Mix all the ingredients together until it becomes sticky. Add more or less milk as needed. It should be able to form a ball easily.
- Next, take ½ tbsp of each mixture and combine them together to form a ball.
- Repeat this step until no batter is left.
