You may think I am exaggerating when I say this is by far the BEST banana bread I have ever made, but I can guarantee you that after making this one you will never look for another recipe.
This banana bread has it all. It is super moist, fluffy, packed with banana flavor in every bite, and will have your whole house smelling like a bakery. Over the past year, I know we have had our fair share of banana bread, but I have also tested many banana bread recipes and I have to say we have a winner.
I can proudly say this bread did not last a single day in my house. It was all gone by the night time and I am not even mad about it.

- Super moist- We all hate the word but that is the only way to describe it. The banana adds moisture to the bread and keeps it fresh!
- Fluffy- Sometimes banana bread will turn out flat, but this one turned out super fluffy just like a bakery-style one.
- It can be stored in the fridge for up to 7 days or the freezer for a whole month!
- Customizable- Optional add-ins include chocolate and nuts!
- All the banana flavor- This bread has just the right amount of bananas. I do not find it to be too much banana but just the right amount.
Ingredients Needed To Make The BEST Banana Bread
- Paleo Flour– I love to bake with paleo flour because it is a 1:1 ratio to all-purpose flour. If you are not strictly paleo then you can use all-purpose. I get mine from King Arthur.
- Maple Syrup– You can alternatively use nut butter to sweeten the bread, just make sure it is all-natural and runny.
- Flax Eggs– Regular eggs would work too.
- Baking Powder
- Baking Soda
- Cinnamon
- Almond Milk– Any non-dairy milk will work. If you think the mix is too dry, add a few tablespoons of milk.
- Banana– Make sure your bananas are very ripe and spotty.
How To Make The BEST Banana Bread
- Start by preheating the oven to 400°F and greasing or lining a loaf pan.
- Next, make the flax egg by combining the water and flax meal and set aside.
- Then in a large bowl mash the bananas. It is okay if there are still chunks.
- Now, slowly add in the wet ingredients- maple syrup and the flax eggs.
- Then, add in the dry ingredients- flour, baking powder, baking soda, and cinnamon. Mix well. If the batter is too thick add a splash of almond milk.
- Once everything is well combined, you can fold in the optional add-ins.
- Place into the oven for 35-40 minutes.
