- Rolled Oatmeal– Oatmeal can be turned into anything. We are turning oatmeal into oat flour by simply blending it in a blender until a flour consistency You can use gluten-free oatmeal or even almond flour.
- Maple Syrup– This can be substituted for honey.
- Nut Butter– Any nut butter will work. I recommend using a runny one so that the bites stick together.
- Chocolate- Add as much as you want. You can use chocolate chips or cut up a chocolate bar.
How To Make These Oatmeal Bites
- In a food processor start by processing the rolled oats until flour-like consistency.
- Then add in the nut butter and maple syrup. Process until well combined. The consistency should be thick and cookie dough-like. If it is too dry add more maple syrup. If it is too wet add more oats.
- Scoop out the batter and fold in chopped-up chocolate chunks.
- Then grab a cookie scoop and scoop out tbsp-sized bite-size balls and place it onto a lined parchment paper.
- Place into the fridge for 30 minutes to set or eat straight away.
Tips
- If you do not like chocolate you can add anything else to the batter. Some other good options are nuts, or dried fruit, or even granola.
- If the dough is not sticky enough add more nut butter. If the dough is too sticky add more oat flour.
